Good picture and sound and the action well followed. Some fuzziness though, nice to see Elizabeth in her earlier days.

Hugh Panaro, Sandra Joseph, Tim Martin Gleason, Jeff Keller, George Lee Andrews, Anne Runolfsson, Marilyn Caskey, David Gaschen (u/s), Kara Klein - Filmed from left rear mezz. Curtain calls included. Act Two starts in the middle of Masquerade. Quality is quite good, video and audio are clear. Rare

Hugh Panaro, Rebecca Pitcher (alt), Tim Martin Gleason - Very good quality video and audio, Hugh is great as always.

Tim Martin Gleason (u/s), Susan Owen (u/s), Stephen R. Buntrock (u/s), Jeff Keller, George Lee Andrews, Anne Runolfsson, Marilyn Caskey, Larry Wayne Morbitt, Kara Klein, James Romick - Though he's far from being a favorite, I'm pretty sure this is the only video of Tim Martin Gleason available right now as the Phantom on Broadway. Susan Owen is a lovely, lighter voiced Christine, and Stephen R. Buntrock is also good as well.

Final Performance of Hugh Panaro - Hugh Panaro (Last show), Sandra Joseph, Tim Martin Gleason, James Romick (u/s), George Lee Andrews, Anne Runolfsson, Marilyn Caskey, Larry Wayne Morbitt, Kara Klein. - Includes pre-show announcement and Sandra's curtain speech - B+
2006.01.09
Howard McGillin, Sandra Joseph, Tim Martin Gleason, George Lee Andrews, Tim Jerome, Anne Runolfsson, Marilyn Caskey, Larry Wayne Morbitt, Heather McFadden - Record Breaking Performance number 7,486; wonderful performance - the most energetic audience in a long time. Includes Act 1, minus Ill Muto and Why Have You Brought Us Here, Plus Curtain Call. No act 2. A shaky video at times; some heads in the way as well
2006.08.18
Howard McGillin, Rebecca Pitcher, Michael Shawn Lewis, Julie Schmidt (u/s), David Cryer, George Lee Andrews, Marilyn Caskey, Roland Rusinek, Heather McFadden. The first video to be released of this cast. Filmed from the fourth row centre mezz, missing about a minute from the beginning of each act. Two brief coverups - one during the overture and one right before the rooftop scene, nothing major missing. I've always been pretty indifferent to Howard and Rebecca but I love them in this video. AIAOY was perfect, one of my favourite interpretations ever I think - Extremely steady, nice angle and vibrant colour. Great cast too!! One of the best Phantom video I have seen. (The camera changes for a different angle during Overture, but then everything is fine)
2007.05.09
Gary Mauer, Jennifer Hope Wills, Jason Mills (u/s), George Lee Andrews, David Cryer, Patricia Phillips (u/s), Roland Rusinek, Sally Williams (u/s), Heather McFadden - Really spectacular quality. Joseph Buquet fails to come out during Magical Lasso so the ballet girls improvise. Also spotted Sara Jean Ford as the Princess!
2007.05.12
Gary Mauer, Jennifer Hope Wills, Michael Shawn Lewis, David Cryer, George Lee Andrews, Patricia Phillips (u/s), Kris Koop (u/s), Jimmy Smagula (u/s), Heather McFadden - Begins at the end of the auction but there's some difficulty getting a good shot until right before “Think of Me”. Act Two begins in the middle of Masquerade. Some heads are in the way, but it isn't really distracting. Fantastic quality.
2008.05.12
Howard McGillin, Elizabeth Loyacano, Jeremy Stolle (u/s), George Lee Andrews, David Cryer, Rebecca Judd, Evan Harrington, Heather McFadden, Katie Banks, Chris Bohannon, Harriet Clark - Great quality and sound, very good cast. Camera is not the steadiest, though. Elizabeth's PONR is great fun to watch.
2008.08.12
2008.08.12 - Howard McGillin, Jennifer Hope Wills, Tim Martin Gleason, George Lee Andrews, David Cryer, Rebecca Judd, Evan Harrington, Polly Baird, Dara Adler, Chris Bohannon - Very good quality, but tends to be quite shaky. I believe this video was shot when Jennifer Hope Wills had just come back from maternity leave, so Howard does an interesting catch/lower thing instead of letting Christine fall in 'Music of the Night'.

Spencer, Brianne Morgan, Larry Morbitt. 'Very good video. Many cover-ups, but some excellent close-ups, especially considering how deep the mezzanine appears to be. The beginning is a full shot of the whole theater until everyone comes on stage. Since its a 95 min show tapes/battery had to be switched so two minutes from Notes are missing. Including that two minutes there are about 4 minutes of blackness. Great capture of show.'

2006.08.30 - Evening
Brent Barrett, Sierra Boggess, Tim Martin Gleason, Geena Jeffries Mattox, John Wolfe, Lawson Skala, Rebecca Spencer, Brianne Morgan, Larry Morbitt. - About two minutes missing from Notes due to a battery change. The camera has an annoying tendency to wander, leaving the object of interest just cut off on the side of the frame; or to zoom out right at an interesting character point and the picture is just quite not sharp enough to capture the nuances of the facial expressions at a distance. It captures the Vegas show very well though, only missing the chandelier crash out of all the new effects. I found Brent's Phantom pretty boring and nondescript but I really liked Sierra's Christine.

John Owen-Jones, Celia Graham, Robert Finlayson - Not my own review: Film is not from the balcony so camera always seems like it's tilted upwards; many good closeups and with a few heads to film around, but otherwise of good quality. Missing the chandelier crash

2005.02.26
John Owen-Jones (Last show); Rachel Barrell; Oliver Thornton. - It's shot from what looks like the second row of the stalls so sometimes the angle is slightly odd but means that the quality and detail is utterly fantastic. A couple of heads but they're well shot around and sometimes you can see the conductor in the corner! A few brief black outs, notably the Overture (In which the music stops briefly!) and Seal My Fate. Notes and the first part of Masquerade are from a 2002 video with Celia Graham and Robert Finlayson. Sadly it doesn't include speeches or curtain calls. Very steady shooting and generally mid to close shots. The sound quality is also gorgeous, crystal clear. As to the performances, you can see John relishing every last note - Music of the Night is especially outstanding. Stranger Than You Dreamt It and I Gave You My Music are also very emotional. And of course the end! :) The audience start applauding before John even finishes his final note! Rachel is also extra wonderful and emotional and Oliver is ok. Overall, a very recommended video of a wonderful performance.

Gary Mauer, Elizabeth Southard (alt), Tim Martin Gleason, David Cryer, DC Anderson, Kim Stengel, Patti Davidson-Gorbea, John Whitney, Kate Wray - Most of the show, starts at Carlotta's 'Think of Me'. Incredible quality surround sound but unfortunately there are half-second late audio lags during the second act. Beautiful picture quality and well filmed. Gary and Elizabeth are great together as usual.
2006.01.22 - Pittsburgh
Gary Mauer, Elizabeth Southard (alt), John Cudia Insane closeups that show every expression on the actors' faces. Huge head blocks the center at times, which can be annoying. Includes flub where Christine cannot quite get the hood off the Phantom's head during 'Point of No Return'. Starts at Christine's 'Think of Me'.
